I mean, why did you get a hybrid if you want to disable this? I have a 2020 highlander and there is a button to deactivate it. I don't understand why you would want disable the auto start/stop either.

Discussion starter · #1 · jan 10, 2020. I got a rav 4 2020 adventure in august 2020 and the dealer told me it did not come with automatic start, so now that it’s getting cold here we were looking into getting automatic start. Took car in on monday june 29 as the problem is intermittent with it.

On june 26, 2020 the car at the stop lights on dashboard it would say battery charging at that time the auto start stop working. 2020 rav4 hybrid xle lunar rock🤘. Maybe you should have gone with an all electric vehicle instead.

When the brake is applied and the vehicle is stopped, the engine temporarily turns off and automatically restarts as the brake is released. Your car will react when you tell it to. No more annoying start/stop in stop and go traffic!

Ive only found a single thread from a guy who claims theres a wire or something near the hood latch you can just disconnect then its off and it doesnt affect anything else. Call toyota dealership on june 27 made appointment for service i had taken a picture of dashboard. We are currently more concerned about the fuel system problems.

It's definitely why i won't buy a gm vehicle ever again. Since the xle has this feature does that also mean that it has other parts in relation to this feature that are different from the le? As of right now, the 2021 toyota rav4 seems to have corrected the transmission problems for the 2019 model.

Because of this, by 2020 one in three cars on our roads will be equipped with this technology. Gm by 2020 will have a non defeat start stop which you cannot override. The 2021 rav4 could be improved.
